Sample chapter is available

For those of you who’ve been considering buying my book but just want to make sure that it’s worth whatever they’re charging for it these days, Addison-Wesley (my publishers) has provided a sample chapter online in PDF format. The chapter is about inheritance, so it should give you a good idea of what the rest of the book is going to be like.

As always, you can buy the book here.

Great book Paul. Got mine last week and got through it in a couple of days. I like the no frills approach. Just solid, relevant commentary on the topics of the VB.NET Language Spec. Definitely at the top of my list. I look forward to more books from you.

    P.S. I only wish I had a signed copy! If that’s a possibility, let me know. jamessteele@rogers.com

Hey paul, I got got your book a couple weeks ago and am just going through my 2nd scan. I think there’d be a lot less crap code out there if people went through your book and understood everything you say. This is one of the best reference books I’ve ever seen. You should seriously look into getting schools that have VB.Net classes use this book, I think it would be of great help to students.

Great read. Qick and to the point. Picked up a few pointers along the way. Good reference to have on your desk. +1 for not doing a huge sample throughout the book and using short code snippets instead.

Thanks for the kind comments! If you’ll be at TechEd, I think we’re putting together a book signing for Thursday, or you can grab me on the floor when I’m at the booth!
